Senior Hotel Manager
Main Tasks:

Assistance of Corp. HM and Director of Operations F&B for the entire hotel area on board according to Scylla/Edelweissgastro standards

Assistance and help with training for Head of Departments on board

Assistance and help with training for Hotel Manager on board
-
Training new hotel managers
-
control the achievement in compliance with Scylla/Edelweissgastro standards on board
-
Control of flawless cleanliness, order and compliance with the Scylla/Edelweissgastro hygienic concept
-
Final responsibility for the conduct, control and quality of the trainings, held regularly by the department managers based on Scylla/Edelweissgastro standards
-
Unannounced visits on board for quality control incl. the necessary reports which needs to be discussed with the responsible HM before leaving the ship
-
Support and coaching for so-called "Aufsteiger" (crewmembers on their way to management positions), in consultation with the Corporate Hotel Manager and Operation Manager
-
control the manner and appearance of the crew, including dress code during spare time on board
-
control for healthy and varied crew meals
-
Interdepartmental and networked thinking and action
-
Honest and open communication with the supervisors, equals, subordinates, the corporate staff as well as the head office in Basel, Belgium and Cyprus

Control and of food & beverage and service in the restaurant during breakfast, lunch and dinner

Replacement of Hotel Managers during vacation, sickness or short term changes
-
Assistance in the preparation of new concepts and service ideas as well as new F&B Offers
Qualification Profile:
-
Excellent management, organizational and communication skills
-
Guest focused, stress resistant, calm under pressure, team player and with positive appearance
-
Open minded and flexible with high social and inter-cultural competencies
-
Excellent English skills (written & verbal), other languages are an advantage
-
Must work independently, good computer skills
Additional tasks for all crew members:

Assistance with the welcome of guests on the day of embarkation

Participation in the crew show

Assistance with the loading of goods and suitcases
-
Keep crew mess and your own crew cabin clean
-
Thorough execution of the safety role on board

General information:
-
Working hours: during the normal operation on board, the crew member will work 7 days a week and app. 70hrs
-
Accommodation: usually single room
-
Uniform: is provided by the company: before arrival the crewmember has to make sure to take a dark suit, white shirts, black shoes with him in case the uniform isn’t on board yet
